Safari Park: Alpha Male

The exhibition, curated by Roger Clarke and Peter Fillingham invited artists to respond to a double helix carpark in central London. It was designed to be viewed both on foot and from a car.

The giant origami lions reference Edwina's experience of UK Safari Parks as a child, driving through the English countryside looking for lions - which rarely appeared, and if so were far away in the distance.

Whilst it would be unusual for three male lions to normally share a space in the wild, the alpha male part of the title references the many supercars permanently garaged in the carpark.
